ASUS ZenBook 17 Fold OLED specifications
The ASUS ZenBook 17 Fold OLED sports a 17.3-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 2560 x 1920 pixels QHD resolution, so it’s sharp. ASUS is claiming this Pantone-validated display to boast a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. The screen has a 0.2 ms response time and supports Dolby Vision. It also meets VESA’s DisplayHDR 500 True Black standard. When fully open, you can use this device as a Windows tablet. The screen can also function as your laptop monitor if you connect it to a wireless keyboard. Moreover, you can partially fold the device to use it in the Laptop Mode. Here, half of the display will act as a virtual keyboard, while the other half will be a 12.5-inch monitor with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 1920 x 1280 pixels resolution. You can also use a wireless keyboard if you don’t find the virtual keyboard much comfy.
The ASUS ZenBook 17 Fold OLED also has an Extend Mode where the two halves of the screen can be used for two separate tasks. For example, you can browse the internet on one part and check your emails on the other. There’s a Book Mode as well, which is essentially Extend Mode in the landscape orientation. Other key specs of this foldable tablet-laptop hybrid from ASUS include WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a Dolby Atmos quad-speaker system by Harmon Kardon, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 75Wh battery capacity, a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, and the latest Intel CPU with integrated graphics. We also have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well as an HD infrared camera. The device features up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1 TB of NVMe M.2 SSD storage. ASUS is also promising features like AdaptiveLock that will automatically lock the screen when you move away from the device and wake it up when you approach it. The company says the screen is tested to withstand up to 30,000 folds.
