OnePlus has decided to postpone the Ace Pro smartphone launch, for whatever reason
The OnePlus 10T 5G will launch today, globally, during an event in New York City. We’re not sure why the OnePlus Ace Pro announcement got canceled, though. OnePlus simply said that the event got postponed, but it didn’t share a new launch date. You may recall that Motorola did something similar yesterday. The company was supposed to announce two very exciting smartphones in China, but it decided to postpone the event at the last moment. The Motorola Razr 2022 aka Razr 3, and the Moto X30 Pro were supposed to arrive, both high-end devices. Needless to say, the Motorola Razr 2022 is likely the more exciting announcement for most, as that’s the company’s new foldable device. Much like OnePlus, Motorola didn’t really share its reasons for postponing the launch of these two smartphones. Both launch events were supposed to take place in China, so perhaps the reason is connected? On the other hand, this may be just a coincidence.
The phone will get announced eventually, of course
In any case, all of these phones will get announced eventually. What will get everyone’s attention today, however, is the OnePlus 10T 5G launch. The press event will take place in New York City, as the first physical event from the company in the last couple of years. The OnePlus 10T 5G will be quite a powerful phone. It will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and support 150W charging in most regions. North America will be limited to 125W charging, though. The device will also include a 120Hz AMOLED display, which will be flat. Three cameras will sit on the back, though without the Hasselblad branding or involvement. Android 12 will come pre-installed on the phone, with OnePlus’ OxygenOS included on top.
