The Pixel 7 has a flat display, which is slightly smaller than the Pixel 6’s
The Pixel 7 is smaller than its sibling, it has a flat display, and one less camera on the back. Those are the main design differences you’ll notice when you look at them. The Pixel 7 shares some of its specs with its ‘Pro’ sibling, but not all, of course. The phone is fueled by the Google Tensor G2 SoC, the company’s brand new chip. This is the same chip that fuels the ‘Pro’ model. The Titan M2 coprocessor is also included. Google also included 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM inside of this phone, along with 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. Those are the only two models you can choose from. A 6.3-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080, 416 PPI) OLED display is included here, with a 90Hz refresh rate. This display is flat, by the way, and it’s protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus. This display will be able to get up to 1,400 nits of brightness at its peak, it also supports HDR content.
It supports both wired & wireless charging
A 4,355mAh battery is also included in the package, and the phone supports 21W wired charging. In addition to that, 23W wireless charging is supported, along with reverse wireless charging. Do note that the charging speeds are not constant, so the charging will not be particularly fast. Google says you can get from 0 to 50-percent in 30 minutes, though. You also don’t get a charger in the box. The Pixel 7 is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner, an optical one. In addition to that, the company is also offering facial scanning this time around. Android 13 comes pre-installed. The device includes a set of stereo speakers, and no 3.5mm headphone jack. 5G is supported here, while Bluetooth 5.2 is also a part of the package. Dual SIM will also be on offer, a nano SIM + eSIM setup.
It has the same main camera as last year’s model
You will find two cameras on the back of the phone. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.85 aperture, Quad Bayer camera, 82-degree FoV, 1.2um pixel size, Dual Pixel PDAF, Super Res Zoom up to 8x, Laser Autofocus, OIS, EIS) is backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.2 aperture, 114-degree FoV, 1.25um pixel size, lens correction, OIS, EIS). A 10.8-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture, 1.22um pixel size, 92.8-degree FoV, Fixed Focus) can be found on the phone’s front side. The Google Pixel 7 comes in Lemongrass, Obsidian, and Snow color options. The device measures 155.6 x 73.2 x 8.7mm, and it weighs 197 grams.
